Year 11 Advanced Speech
Collin succeeded with an exceptional 96% for his Year 11 Advanced class speech on AI Misinformation and Manipulation.
In his speech, he outlined the ways that AI can be easily weaponised by spreading disinformation, sabotaging democracy and facilitating fraud and discussed ways to protect the integrity of society.
Colin worked hard on his skills of presentation to achieve this wonderful result.

Speech Success
Freddie has scored a resounding 18/20 result for his persuasive opinion speech. He wrote an informative and entertaining piece on the topic, "how the loss of biodiversity affects climate change." Freddie achieved full marks for the oral presentation.
Freddie has strong aspirations and he is achieving at the highest level in Year Eight.

Wonderful Progress

Owin's meteoric rise continues in the best way! He achieved an outstanding 96% for his explanation writing about tides. Owin's efforts have seen him move to the top of his class in extra fast time!

Smashing It!
Ryan has made outstanding progress since starting lessons. He has completed a beautiful piece of creative writing using sensory language on, "The Beach" and his written answers to questions are thorough.
Alison, likewise is showing a huge improvement in her reading and writing skills. She has completed a novel study on "Sister Heart," by Sally Morgan which showcases just how far along she has come in just three months of lessons.

School Production
Alison has one of the leading roles in her school production, "Once Upon a Term." The story line is about the stolen spirit and the characters are selkies. The Queen gives each character tasks to earn their spirit back and return to their human form.

Top Flight
Hari achieved excellent top results in all areas for his film study. His overall grade was 87%. The assignment required students to create a film trailer that subverts a traditional fairy tale in order to reflect contemporary values, concerns and perspectives. Hari selected the Grimm Brother's fairy tale, "The Water of Life" as a basis to work from and to show the key idea that good guys don't always win.

Year 12 Advanced
Lily achieved an outstanding 19/20 for her essay on The Tempest by William Shakespeare and Hagseed by Margaret Atwood. She answered the question, "The textual conversations between The Tempest and Hagseed deepens our understanding of humanity’s capacity for transformation." Evaluate this statement in light of your own reading of 'The Tempest' and 'Hagseed.'

Fabulous Result
Arjun has made wonderful improvement since starting lessons. He achieved a wonderful 80% result on a speech about climate change. Arjun worked from a starting quote from Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
He cited the problem and goals to stop the effects from escalating.
